KATAHDIN REGION – Transportation to and from the grocery store, pharmacy or doctor’s appointments is now available to tri-town senior citizens through a just launched transportation program made available by the Eastern Area Agency on Agency through the local group Aging with Dignity. For further information regarding the program call the office of the transportation manager at 1-800-432-7812.

Tours at Wolfe’s Neck Farm
Climb aboard our haywagon and travel through time as you hear stories of the ship captains, fishermen, farmers, teachers, and homemakers who have lived on Wolfe’s Neck over the past 250 years.  Four dates offered in 2015: June 13th, July 11th, August 15th & September 12th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.  Tickets are $6 adults and children 13 and older; Age 12 and under are free. July 4 to September 6 - Our Barnyard and Organic Garden Tours introduce visitors to some of our sustainable agricultural activities. After meeting our cows, sheep, goats and chickens, you’ll ride in our haywagon to see some of our pastures and visit our seaside vegetable plot run by our Teen Agriculture Program. You’ll learn about (and taste!) what is growing. Tours are offered from 10-1 on the hour every Saturday and Sunday through the summer (weather permitting)…$5 per person (free for ages 3 and under.) Hollis Center Baptist Church is calling all trekkers to join us at Camp Kilimanjaro, an epic expedition through Proverbs! July 13-17 @ 9:00 am to 11:30 am Ages 4- going into 6th grade.  The kids won’t want to miss a minute at Camp Kilimanjaro, the most exciting place around! July 14 - Blessings from Paradise Seminar on Tuesday, July 14th, Court Street Baptist Church, Auburn.  Dr. Julie Caton, psychologist, author, Biblical scholar, and inspirational speaker, will present an interactive discussion based on the first three chapters of Genesis, dealing with obstacles to life and blessings from God to help us overcome those obstacles.  FMI: 926-5062
