April 19 2014  Sabers Chapter 809 of the Christian Motorcyclists Association will be hosting a yard sale at the Sidney Second Baptist Church, 3022 West River Road in Sidney from 10 am to 2pm. April 20  2014  Easter Sunrise service will be held on the Peak of Bradbury Mountain in Pownal at 5:30 am  with Pastor Sandy Williams officiating.  There will also be a service at the foot of the mountain with the Rev John Wentworth for those who are unable to climb or in case of inclement weather.  Coffee and donuts will served at the Pownal Church following the services. May 3, 2014   BAKED BEAN AND SPAGHETTI SUPPER The North Pownal United Methodist Church, 851 Lawrence Road, Pownal, Maine will be holding a public baked bean and spaghetti supper on Saturday, May 3rd  from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.   On the menu three kinds of beans, spaghetti with meat sauce, potato salad, coleslaw, biscuits & brown bread, pickled beets and assorted homemade pies. Tickets are adults $7, children 4-12 yrs $3, and three yrs and under free. Handicap Assessable. Suppers are the first Saturday of every month through November. FMI: Kim at 207-865-3517.

May 10th  MASONIC BEAN SUPPER The supper will be on May 10th from 4:30 – 6:00 PM. The Masonic Lodge is located on Route 136 across from the River Park. The Prices are   $7.50 – Adults   $3.00 – Children (Ages 5-12) Free – Children under 5.  On the menu are Baked Beans, Chop Suey, Hot Dogs, Potato Salad, Coleslaw, Bread, Pickles, and Homemade Pies. May 17 and 18, 2014 Lisbon Falls Christian Academy is celebrating its 40th anniversary by inviting all past students and staff members to attend family events from 10am-4pm on Saturday, and an alumni run Sunday morning service at 9:45am. A luncheon will be served at noon on Saturday to those that RSVP by May 2nd. September 13th 2014  rain date September 20th  FILL THEIR BELLY MOTORCYCLE BENEFIT RIDE.  (come in any vehicle even if you don’t have a motorcycle) This ride benefits the Chrysalis food bank of Gardiner Maine.  Ride leaves at 10 am leaving the Irving gas station at 284 Civic Center Drive in Augusta and will go to Smalls falls in Rangley. $10 donation.
