April 16 – Pen Bay Christian School invites you to share our elementary student projects at our 2015 Annual Academic Fair. Our school is located at 1 Waldo Avenue, Rockland, Maine. April 18 - Operation Christmas Child Celebration at Stroudwater Baptist Church Saturday, April 18, 2015 Come celebrate what God has done through Operation Christmas Child in the Maine-West area. Join us for food, music, slideshows and find out how you can get involved in this awesome ministry. The fun starts at 9:30am and will include a special guest who will tell us all about her experience receiving a shoebox gift as a child in Africa. April 18 -Saturday, Holy grounds coffeehouse 10th anniversary celebration!  Presenting Boston based singer-songwriter Jim Trick as headliner, and Juniper as opener! Jim Will be playing some of his newest songs from his latest album. April 25 - Join the Windsor Christian Fellowship for the Windsor Food Bank Walk, Saturday, April 25 at the Windsor Fair Grounds at 9 AM.  Pledge sheet are available at the Windsor Town Office. There are lots of prizes for pledged walkers donated by generous local businesses, in addition to Sea Dog tickets, movie passes and gift baskets. All kids that participate will get a goodie bag. April 28-6PM- Green Street United Methodist Church, Green Street, Augusta: “Gardening on your doorstep”   Master Gardener Caraugh Fitzgerald shows ways to grow fresh, inexpensive food all season long.  Free and open to the public. 

April 29-6PM- Green Street United Methodist Church, Green Street, Augusta: “We can recycle what?”   Leo Maheu, EcoMaine Environmental Educator leads a discussion on what can be recycled and how to do it properly.  Free and open to the public. 

April 30-6PM- Green Street United Methodist Church, Green Street, Augusta: “What happens when we die?”   Jim Jacobsen, Member of the Funeral and Burial Board of Directors offers education on funeral alternatives and what happens to our terrestrial bodies.  Free and open to the public. 

May 2015

May 2, 2015  Saturday  the Christian Motorcyclists Association will host its annual Run for the Son.  CMA chapters in Maine and throughout the United States, will be participating in this Run. This ride is the only CMA fund raiser  to help raise money to spread the light of Jesus to every nation. Since Run for the Son began, CMA has raised over 45 million dollars to help present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to millions of people around the world. Every penny goes to work, twenty percent goes for Bibles thru Open Doors ministry,  twenty percent goes for motorcycles to native pastors around the world with Mission Ventures international, and twenty percent goes to help the JESUS film spread the Word of God, and forty ‘percent is used by CMA to help reach motorcyclists here at home in the United States and internationally.  If you would like to ride with us or sponsor a rider call 207-975-2709 or email melanson4cma@yahoo.com

May 2-10AM- Green Street United Methodist Church, Green Street, Augusta: Volunteering with the Augusta Downtown Alliance for a downtown clean-up.  Open to those who are interested, meet with the group at the church and you will be directed from there. 

May 3- Services at 8AM and 10:30AM- Green Street United Methodist Church, Green Street, Augusta: Pastor Kristen White will preach on our part in God’s plan.  A blessing of the animals will take place at 3PM.

May 2 – Calvary Pentecostal Church in Madison is hosting a run/walk 5k & family fun day on May 2,2015, to raise money for BGMC ( Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge ). Race starts at 9:00am. Contact church (696-3316) for registration and more info.

May 2 - The North Pownal United Methodist Church, 851 Lawrence Road, Pownal, Maine will be holding a public baked bean and spaghetti supper on Saturday, May 2  from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. On the menu three kinds of beans, spaghetti with meat sauce, potato salad, coleslaw, biscuits & brown bread, pickled beets and assorted homemade pies. May 7th First Baptist Church of Portland is opening their doors for a time of prayer on Thursday, May 7th, from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Come and gather as one body as we cry out to the Lord on behalf of the lives around us and the world we live in.  May 7, 2015 National Day of Prayer Service Windham Assembly of God 1051 Roosevelt Trail Windham, ME Please join us for an evening of prayer and worship to pray for our communities and nation May 7, 2015 @6:30 pm – 7:30 pm. Our keynote speaker for the service is Carroll Conley, Executive Director of the Christian Civic League. Also several pastors and lay people in the lake region area will pray specifically for our government, military, education, business, media, church and family. May 9 - There will be a Masonic Bean Supper from 4:30 – 6:00 PM. The Masonic Lodge is located on Route 136 across from the River Park. The Prices are   $7.50 – Adults   $3.00 – Children (Ages 5-12) Free – Children under 5.  On the menu are Baked Beans, Chop Suey, Hot Dogs, Potato Salad, Coleslaw, Bread, Pickles, and Homemade Pies.
