1st Choose Love Virtual 5K to be held in February by Choose Love Movement RI!

My Name is Mia Daley and I am a 14 year old 8th grader at Cole Middle School. I’d like to invite you to participate in an event that I am hosting
I work with a Non-profit called The Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement. Scarlett Lewis founded the Choose Love Movement after her son, Jesse, was murdered during the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy in December 2012. It is one of the worst mass shootings in U.S. history. She created the Choose Love Movement and became an advocate for character development and social and emotional learning (SEL), which teaches children how to manage their emotions, feel connected, and have healthy relationships. I started working with the organization a year ago with a goal of raising as much money as well as awareness as I can for this moment.
So for the month of February (Choose Love Awareness Month) Choose Love RI will be hosting a virtual 5k run! There is a $20 entry fee, and you will receive a gift bag! Choose Love RI is going to be awarding prizes for 3 categories, Walking/biking, Running, and a Top Donor Prize! We ask for all of our participants to set a goal of $50 for their fundraiser! We also have many different sponsors from local businesses across RI! The virtual Road Race is from Feb 21-Feb28th. The website is live now where you can sign up and donate.
