On April 7, 2024 the WSO will provide a FREE concert at Warwick City Hall – Council Chambers with optional “paywhat-you-can” (PWYC) donations collected in support of WSO’s outreach performances For Our Community and A
Little Live Music as well as the George Low Scholarship program. In memory of Warwick Symphony’s founder and
Warwick educator George Low, this performance introduces a new effort whereby WSO features an artist-educator
annually. This year’s featured artist-educator is Richard Marchetti – clarinetist, seasoned musician and educator with
a rich musical background.
The program on April 7th includes a variety of full symphony selections:
Jubilee from Symphonic Sketches – George Whitefield Chadwick
Symphony No. 2 “A London Symphony” Movement II – Ralph Vaughn Williams
Concertino for Clarinet, Op.26 – Carl Maria von Weber
Symphony No. 2 “The Romantic” Movement III – Howard Hanson
SUNDAY – April 7, 2024 @ 3:00pm
Warwick City Hall – Council Chambers, 3275 Post Road, Warwick 02886
This program includes performances by the full symphony with works from the Romantic and Modern eras. With the changing nature of health and welfare guidelines, WSO encourages audiences to wear masks if ill or in the case of possible exposure to viruses including COVID and influenza.
